Chapters Book Club A book club for those in grades 1 and 2; this group will read one short chapter book a month, and then meet to discuss the book, the author, and do activities associated with the book. Rapid Readers & wRiters (grades 3-5) Meet Tuesday, January 25 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Please join us as we discuss books, play games, try out a bit of creative writing, and enjoy a light snack. This book club is full. Look Who’s Reading Book Club (grade K) Meets Tuesday, Janauary 25 from 6:00 - 6:30 pm. The group will engage in a variety of fun learning activities featuring phonics, the writing of letters and words, and many other skills that promote a strong literacy foundation. So there are several services that are offered to teachers and teachers only, to help you help your students. Take a look at these perks: *No fines - Teachers are fine free. *Extended Loan Privileges - Teachers borrow materials for an extended loan period. Books and audio materials for six weeks. DVDs for one week free of charge. *Book Collections - Teachers may request that a book collection be chosen for their students’ use. We will put the collection together & you simply pick it up. *Library and Classroom Visits - Teachers and their students are welcome to visit the library. The Youth Services Coordinator and the Teen Services Coordinator are also available to visit your classroom.
