Toddler Time for ages 24 months - 36 months and their caregivers Tuesdays 10:30 - 11:00 am. Registration requested. We will read a story of two and do fun activities each program. These sessions involve parents as active participants. Parents/caregivers stay with children during all sessions. This program involves messy fun; dress accordingly. Registration requested. We resume January 3. Preschool Storytimes for 3 - 5 year olds including kindergartners Thursdays 10:30 - 11:00 am. Registration requested. We play games, sing songs, hear stories, and share laughs. We resume January 5. Storytime Superstars Come to preschool storytime and get a stamp. When you have 10 stamps on your Storytime Superstar card, you will earn a free book! Dino Science for Preschoolers (3 yrs. - K) and a caregiver Friday, January 20 from 4:00 - 4:30 pm We will be learning about dinosaurs with several hands on activities. All children should bring an adult with them. Required registration begins on Tuesday, January 3. Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (ages 8 and up) Saturday, January 28 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm Dress up in your favorite attire and join us for snacks, games, and crafts. Required registration begins Monday, January 16. International Lego Day Saturday, January 28 from 11:00 am -1:30 pm (drop-in) This marks the day when Godtfred Kirk Christiansen submitted the patent for the original LEGO bricks in 1958. Join us for Family Lego Building Day; drop by the children’s activity room to choose a Lego Build Challenge Card and create with the library’s Lego bricks or free-build just for fun. Art Class for Kids (grades K - 5) Join us on Monday, January 30 from 4:15 - 5:00 pm to make winter themed art. Required registration begins Monday, January 16. All materials will be supplied. This class is a collaboration with the Waynesville Arts Council.
