Ukulele Class led by ukulele instructor, Mark Reinemann. This class will run every other Wednesday from September 25th -December 4th from 5-6:30pm.
About the program:
Ages: All ages are welcome, but children under 12 must have an adult with them at all times.
Class Format
5-5:30pm: Class for beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills.
5:45-6:30pm: Open session to play and sing whatever songs we want.
The class is free and all instructional materials will be provided. If you have a music stand, please bring it. The library has a limited number of
ukuleles available to check out if you do not own one. You will need to register for a library card to check out a ukulele.
The open session is available to everyone, even if you just want to join in the group sing-along. If you are bringing songs to the open session,
please have 10 copies available to share with everyone else. Make sure the music is for “ukulele”. There are many sites available on the internet
that let you download free, non-copyrighted music to use for personal use and class. Mark recommends: “The San Jose Ukulele Club,” and “The Allegheny Ukulele Kollective.”
If you are arriving only for the open session, please wait until 5:30pm so as to not interrupt the first class. Note: The library closes
promptly at 7 pm. If you intend to check out library materials, please do so before class or immediately after class.
