  Age Groups Adults

Ages: All ages are welcome, but children under 12 must have an
adult with them at all times.

Class Format
5-5:30 pm:  class for beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills.
5:45-6:30 pm:  an open session to play and sing whatever songs we
want.
If you are arriving for just the open session, please do not enter the class
until 5:30 pm so as to not interrupt the new students. The session will
end at 6:30 pm to allow for clean-up time.  Note:  The library closes
promptly at 7 pm.  If you intend to check out library materials, please do
so before class or immediately after class.

The class is free and all instructional materials will be provided.  If you
have a music stand, please bring it.  If you don’t want to purchase your
own ukulele before class, the library does have a limited number of
ukuleles available to check out. (However, in order to check out a
library ukulele, you will need to register for a library card, which takes
about one week to process beforehand.)

The open session is available to everyone, even if you just want to join
in the group sing-along.  If you are bringing songs to the open session,
please have 10 copies available to share with everyone else.  Make sure
the music is for “ukulele”.  There are many sites available on the internet
that let you download free, non-copyrighted music to use for personal
use and class.  My favorites are “The San Jose Ukulele Club,” and “The
Allegheny Ukulele Kollective.”
