Knitting/Quilting
Each Thursday evening at 5 pm, a group of people meet to enjoy a casual time of knitting together. Feel free to join them or ask for knitting advice.
On Wednesday, July 16 at 5:30 pm, local quilters are here for their monthly meeting of fabric fun – it’s also open to the public.
Fourth of July Events
The library will be closed on Friday, July 4. On Saturday, July 5, we’ll see you at the Main Street Parade at noon. The library will be open on Saturday.
Math Tutoring Grades 7-12
Ms. Montgomery, math teacher at Waynesville High School, is holding math tutoring for middle school and high school students on two Mondays in July. On July 7 and July 28 from 10-11 am, she will be at the library to help students with their math questions.
Ohioana Room
Starting July 7 through August 13, the Ohioana Room will not be available to the public on Mondays and Wednesdays until after 1 pm.
Adult Book Club
Sit in on a session of Adult Book Club – they meet Tuesday, July 8 at 1 pm to discuss Trouble in Mudbug by Jana DeLeon. On July 22, the book under review will be Restless in the Grave by Dana Stabenow.
Waynesville Underground Railroad Committee
The Waynesville Underground Railroad Committee meets Monday, July 21 at 11 am.
Summer Reading Program Winners
All (including adults!) prize winner names will be posted in the library for you to view after 12 noon on Monday, July 28.
Investment Informational Meeting
Sarah Selke from Edward Jones will continue her series of investment talks on Tuesday, July 29 at 6:30 pm. The topic will be “Take Stock in the Stock Market”.

New this year, a summer reading program for Babies (birth – 3yrs.) - Little Explorers. Stop in to register your little one for this fun program.
Wonderful Wednesdays are back! Each Wednesday we have an exciting new program.
Wednesday, July 2nd 1:00pm – 1:45pm Ages 3yrs – Entering 5th grade. Hot Finds from Caesar Creek. A park ranger will be here with exciting finds from the park. Bring your Treasure Card and we will stamp it.
Wednesday, July 9th 9:00am – 8:00pm Ages 3yrs. – Entering 5th grade. Drop in any time between 9am and 8pm to search for a robot. Bring your Treasure Card and we will stamp it.
Wednesday, July 16th 1:00pm – 1:45pm Ages 3yrs. – Entering 5th grade. Fizz and Boom Chemistry Can Be Fun! Join us as we learn some basic chemistry.
Bring your treasure card to the library each Wednesday! When you have seven stamps on the card, you will be entered in the drawing for the item in the treasure chest.
Join the Family Reading Program! (You will receive a Family Record Sheet and rules when you register.)
Every time you and your family read together each of five days for at least 15 minutes, you will receive a chance to win a prize the entire family can enjoy!
